My Wife, Carol, has earned her Silver Beaver the hightest award an adult in Scouting can recieve.

Carol has been involved in the Boy Scouts since my son was 7 years old. He is 27 now. She has camped with the Boy Scouts over 100 nights, including one night on a frozen lake in Minnesota in January, with the temp well below 0F. Carol has been to all three high adventure bases in the United States, Philmont, Sea Base and Okpic. Carol has a passion in her life to serve others. Boy Scouts has been a great fit for her and the Scouts as well.

Congratulation Carol, well done, well done indeed.

Simplest workweek lunch ever.

Microwave Brown Rice And Vegetables.

I am not a cook. It is on my bucket list to learn how to cook and in that vain this is a cooking effort.
This dish was suggested by a friend of mine. Simply a few vegetables cleaned and sliced uniformly in this case just potatoes and carrots.  Many more vegetables would work. Basil, salt and pepper and one tea spoon of coconut oil, found in the health food section of your grocery store. Plus one cup of steamed brown rice.

Place all ingredients in a microwave steamer with 1/4 cup of water and cook on high for 6 minutes.  Walla!!

First Books On List

So I have been reading and this is what I have read so far. None of these books would have grabbed my eye a month ago but now I have a goal. Yes I like reading again. I am lazy and would not read if I didn't have a goal.

If anybody is reading this help me out. Recommend some books for me to read. I like Sci Fic, Action, History and others.
